Al was a
cool guy. I was fortunate to spend a few days on the water with him
over the years and in his last year. He actually loved just being on
the water and he tossed the two hander around like a champ. I will never
forget the last fish I saw him hook on a short swing last Fall on the
Klickitat. The fish wasn't on long but the grab was abrupt and Al's
eyes were widened from the fun. Al was meticulous with his equipment
and I Iearned a few things from him over the years in watching him manage
his equipment. It was my pleasure to have spent time with Al and I trust
he is in a better place continually swinging a fly...
My best to
Al, you will be missed!
