Newsletter Tips
Steelhead Swing Tip - If you want a fish to see the fly broadside, but you also want to creep it across the zone instead of 'grease lining' it, then put a riffle hitch on the fly.
Steelhead Nymph Tip - Mending is needed, but definitely overrated. However, feeding line is always needed on a downstream presentation and rarely practiced.
Trout Tip - This is the time of year that the Fall hatches can be prolific. Small Mayflies, low light and hard to see conditions can make fishing a challenge. One suggestion is to stop and observe the water you intend to fish before you 'jump in'. You would be amazed at how many fish are at your feet!

Movie Review
Soul Surfer - Starring Dennis Quaid, Helen Hunt and Anna Sophia Robb - A true story featuring a family of surfers and a daughter that overcomes all odds after losing an arm to a shark while surfing... she eventually surfs and goes on to compete again. This story is for the entire family. ***.5 Stars
The Eagle - Starring Channing Tatum, jamie Bell and Donald Sutherland. This movie is a time piece set during the Roman Empire that demonstrates history repeats itself over and over. Family and 'Country' honor is the theme but at what cost, and a cool theme, but at what expense? Good acting and believable scenes makes this movie worth watching -
***.5 StarsHall Pass - Starring Starring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis. This is a lame attempt at comedy and not even close to 'The Hangover' which is what I believe they were trying to mimic in some fashion. ! would suggest leaving this movie on the shelf, in the mail or 'un streamed'. Barely * Star.
