Tips
of the Month
#1
On the Yakima
River the Whitefish are in spawn mode, so when you find a school of YT’s,
take 10 steps or so down stream to find the schooling trout!
#2
Four ways to get your swung fly DOWN during the cold months;
-One
obvious method is to increase the weight of your sinking tip.
-The
Sink Step; Step while the fly is swinging instead of between presentations.
-Tip
Sink; Start your swing with your rod tip high and gradually drop the tip
through the swing.
-Feed
Line; Incorporate a cachet of line to feed in as the fly is swinging.

Thoughts
on Fishing....
Have
you ever noticed how time flies (fast) when traveling alongside a river?
No wonder my wife gets a bit nervous when I am driving as my focus tends
to sway from the pavement to the flows and turns of the river.
It is apparent that building roads alongside a river was not the smartest
construction as it impeded the natural progression of the flood plain;
however in the same breath, riverside roads are 'kinda' dynamic and
romantic.
No matter how familiar you are with the 'river road', and no matter
how many times you have traveled its' generally windy path, the journey
always seems quicker. How cool is that?
the end...
