What would you give to hear that familiar sound echoing across the flats of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula? Apparently I am willing to give a lot. I have not slept much in the past four days, one hour and 5 minutes last night. I have been traveling since 3:45 am this morning and I am not even to Cancun yet. My arm hurts from a tetanus shot yesterday (thank God it is my Left arm) and I just ate an over priced airline sandwich.

Trust your guide on this one, I am a winer, and this is all going to be worth it! My name is Joe Donsky, it is my job to take you on a flats fishing Odyssey. Please come along with Jeff Cutter, Jack, Jennifer and me on this adventure.

For the next 10 days I will chronicle Jack’s first trip to chase Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, and Snook. I am either a lucky guy or not a very bright one. I guess we will find out. Please check back to see how we are doing. I will update and download the highlights as often as we are able. Please forgive me in advance we will be in some very remote areas.

That’s right remote areas, fishing with Jack has it’s benefits, the biggest of which is when he tells me I set a hook like a girl.
