Testimonial
Jack,
Thought I would take the time to e-mail you on my trip to the Grande
Ronde with Joe and Peter. I don't always take the time to drop a
note but the trip was worth mentioning. Met Joe and Peter at Hellers
bar and there were a few people there. We decided to head up river
to get away from the people. A wise choice. I will take less fish
with less people. Turned out different than that !! More fish than
below and zero people in two days !!
Joe and Peter did an excellent job. Joe knows every hole in the
river that holds fish. Comes from time put in and snorkeling in
the summer. Peter may be an electrician by trade, but his calling
is cooking !! Hands down the BEST on river food I have ever had
!! It beats most restaurants. All the meals were superb. Couldn't
eat it all. Never lacking for snacks or drink either. Fresh blackberry
cheesecake and strawberry shortcake on a float? To die for.
Now for the fishing. Joe called all the right flies and holes. I
even snuck one in on him that was a hit he and Peter liked. I have
trout fished for years but this was only the start of my second
year for the metalheads. They made me believe !!
Landed (11) eleven, hooked more. The last day was overcast and we
fished for less than four hours because I had to get back. Landed
(6) six in that time. Could have been a double digit day if I had
the time !!
The best guided trip I have ever been on. Great food, fish, and
guides. You picked a winning team there !!
When you guys come over for the show in February let me know and
I'll take you guys down the Skykomish.
