AKA "Mr Glomer"

Al Parke began fly fishing at age 6. Since that time he has owned his own sporting goods store and fly shop. Al was also seen on television featuring fly tying techniques and Fly Fishing on the Yakima River with the late Wally Pease. Teaching has also been a big part of Al's fishing, providing classes for the Ellensburg School District and the surrounding community.

Fishing for Steelhead has added to his seasoned experience. The Skykomish, Klickitat, and Toutle can all be added to the 51 years that Al has been Fly Fishing. " I have been fly-fishing since I can remember, I love it."

We are fortunate to have Al on our staff as his thirty five years on the Yakima are golden!

Al is known as Mr. Glomer because he has a fly pattern that we call The Glomer - and it works!
