Jurassic River, Upper Columbia

Bent Rod - Big Water

For the past 12 years we have been investigating (that means fishing) the northeast corner of Washington! We are excited to offer what we believe to be the Best Kept Secret in the Northwest and what we consider World Class Trout Fishing.  The Upper Jurassic sports incredible insect hatches seasonally.  Water temps on the river range from 40-65 degrees year round,  providing great habitat throughout the season for insect propagation. While the hatches are not guaranteed day in and day out, the trout are at times incredibly tuned into the surface which makes for great fun.

Great food, the good chance at a 25-28 inch bow on the fly, few anglers and beautiful vistas are what we offer with this program.  Our itinerary is based on a 2 person minimum and double occupancy.  Two anglers to one guide ratio is our standard and continues to be.

The predominant target fish is the Rainbow trout, and they are big!  The average Rainbow trout is approximately 19-21 inches/3-5 pounds.  There are Cutthroat in the system and we catch them occasionally.

The Goal;  BIG Fish on dry flies/streamers/nymphs, great food, new river, awesome scenery and few people.

Lodging;   We cannot get any closer to the river as we have our own private docking system for our boats.  The lodge provides us with convenience and comfort , a great place to sleep, eat and tell stories about the one that "got away".   Lodging is based on two people per room.
