AKA "The Big Dog"

Keith Wersland AKA The Big Dog gets his name because he has landed more big fish on the Yakima then anyone else we know. His alias is also related to a Skwala pattern that he developed called the Wersland Big Dog Stone.

Keith started fly fishing at the age of 9 on Montana waters. Keith has fished most of western Montana and much of the Idaho rivers and lakes. Keith graduated with a BA from Whitworth in Business Management and Accounting. Since he has lived in Washington, Keith has experienced and fished most of Washington and is an expert stillwater and river fisherman. Keith has a unique ability to fish with every technique efficiently. He can throw a drag free drift down a lane, chuck and duck big uglies and high stick and/or indicator nymph along with the best!

Father of 7 and happily married, Keith has more patience then most. He has been with The Evening Hatch for lmost 20 years now!!! When we all had more time, Keith and I spent many a day waterside!
