Rory O'Connor

Rory grew up plying the Puget Sound rivers for steelhead and salmon and took up flyfishing at age 12 for Sea-Run Cutthroat in the streams and saltwater around Marysville. Since then Rory's spent 5 years guiding in AK where he had the chance to fish many S.E. AK rivers for steelhead and salmon. Rory's spring and summers are split between the Upper Columbia (UC) and the Yak and spends his falls catching big U.C. bows on dries and steelhead at the 'Ranch'. When Rory's not pounding the Yak, U.C. or the Klick, you'll find him in the hills hunting or hiking. Rory is also a Coast Guard licensed Captain with a 50 ton rating and recently graduated from CWU with a Bachelors in Business Management. He brings a relaxed but hardworking personality to the Evening Hatch staff.
