the Years The Evening Hatch has taught many classes for a variety of
Fly Shops and for our direct guest base. We have a barage of 'schools'
including, Nymph Tactics, Fall on the Yakima, Swing the Fly etc..

expert instruction on all facets of the class will jump start you to a
new level. While on the water, our guides will exemplify and connect the
classroom information so as to aid in applicability.
The
classroom portion will cover many topics including the dynamic hydrology
of the system, the entomology, river access points, river history, fly
patterns, fishing strategies/techniques, proper equipment and more. We
will cover all the major and minor hatches throughout the season. learn
the dates, times, location and water types of these emergences and expand
your knowledge.
Learn about the history and development of this
fantastic catch and release fishery and the changes it has endured throughout
the past two decades. Specific proprietary fly patterns will be divulged
and learn where, when and how to fish them - No photos please!

Winter Tactics - 4 hours on the water, cooked lunch - All flies
included. Rods and reels provided, if needed.

is certainly one of the most overlooked times of the year on many western
streams, including the Yakima.
Multiple
techniques can be used to dupe the trout during this time of year. Learn
to utilize these methods to catch fish on the river when almost no one
else is there!
